Awareness program held for businesses on new digital signature and paperless Customs system
An awareness program was held for importers and the business community regarding the new Digital Signature and Paperless Customs Declaration System. The program was organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and took place on Tuesday (18) morning at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce auditorium.
The new Digital Signature and Paperless Customs Declaration System is scheduled to become operational on October 1st. This initiative aligns with the government's plans.
Separately, Sri Lanka also intends to issue its first digital identity card by the end of this year.
