The Deputy Chief Prelate of the Ramanna Sect, Ven. Kappetiyagoda Sirivimala Thero, has passed away. His final rites are scheduled to be held on October 21st and will receive state patronage.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a proposal for the state-sponsored cremation ceremony of the late Most Venerable Keppetiyagoda Siriwimala Nayaka Thera.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake paid his last respects to the late Anunayake of the Ramanna Maha Nikaya. The President visited the Rajopawanaramaya Temple in Gatambe, Kandy, where the remains of the Thera are lying.
